I have been doing a lot to prepare myself for research interviews: learning more about networking, current technology trends, and perfecting my digital portfolio. I have been hard at work this week learning about the Cisco IOS (Internetwork Operating System), working on my resume, analyzing the Apple conference, and polishing my digital portfolio. Using the IOS I learned how to: configure the switch using the console port; enable a password for each level of access including Console, Privileged User Exec and Global Configuration; and how to encrypt those set passwords. I also worked on my Resume making sure that it follows the same formatting like all my other work in order to ensure my personal brand’s consistency.(View Here) On September 7th Apple held their Special Event where they announced their new hardware as well as other news from their company; I decided to do my 2nd research assessment over the conference due to their presence in consumer electronics and I analyzed all their products and what they meant to the world of technology.(Read More) While working on my research post I also updated and fine-tuned my digital portfolio cleaning up various issues with formatting, color ways, and updated links for numerous files. Also on the digital portfolio I began working on integrating social media sharing for my posts, designing a layout and laying down the framework for Twitter Cards. This week in I officially got the green light to begin contacting professionals to learn more about computer engineering. I look forward to meeting with professionals to learn more about the field!
